奥能登国際芸術祭は、能登半島の先端に位置する珠洲市で新たに始まる芸術祭です。
珠洲は、現在は地理的条件によって地域力が減退した場所ですが、古代から近代にかけて日本海を往来した渤海使、遣唐使、北前船などの影響をうけ、類いまれな生業、お祭り、行事などが育まれ、その文化的DNAが今も受け継がれる“特異点”ともいえる場所です。思い起こせば生命の誕生以来、“特異点”こそが種を飛躍させ、文明を転換してきました。
奥能登国際芸術祭は、アートを媒介とした多ジャンルのネットワークによって土地に眠るポテンシャルを掘り起し、“さいはて”から“最先端”の文化を創造する試みです。芸術祭で実施する作品やプロジェクトを応募ください。

SUZU 2017: Oku-Noto Triennale is a new triennale which will be held at Suzu City located at the tip of the Noto Peninsula. Although Suzu has been facing depopulation and ageing due to its disadvantaged geographical location, distinctive living, festivals and cultures have been nurtured under the influence of maritime trade on the Sea of Japan including Japanese missions to Tang China, official envoys from Bokkai, and the routes plied by kitamae-bune from ancient to modern times. In other words, it is a “singularity” in which such cultural DNA has been inherited. In other words, ever since the origin of life, it has been the “singularity” that has helped a seed grow and transform the civilisation.
This Triennale aims to stimulate untapped potentials of the place through diverse networks connected by art and to create “foremost” culture from the “furthest” place. I look forward to receiving proposals for artworks and projects presented at the triennale.

珠洲市全域（岬、浜辺、塩田、田園、森林、ため池、家、学校、保育所、神社、路地や道、文化ホール等）※屋内、屋外は問いません。

Across entire Suzu City (including cape, beach, salt farm, field, forest, pond, house, school, nursery, shrine, lane & street, and cultural hall) *Could be either indoor or outdoor.

  • 1インスタレーション

    芸術祭会期にあわせて公開できるアート、展示作品など

  • 2パフォーミング・アーツ

    芸術祭会期にあわせて上演する音楽、ダンス、演劇など

  • 3ソーシャルデザイン

    地域や社会が抱える課題を解決する企画、ソーシャルビジネスなど

  • 4フリージャンル

    美術に限らず、さまざまな分野（料理、ファッション、デザイン、工芸、テクノロジー等）の企画・プロジェクト。
    ※複数プロジェクトの応募も可

採用する企画について

10点程度を予定しています。（状況に応じて増減します）

※採用された企画については、内容により最大200万円までプロジェクト費を補助します。

PROPOSAL TYPES

  • 1ARTWORKS

    Artwork or installation which will be presented during the Triennale.

  • 2PERFORMING ARTS

    Music, dance performance or theatre play which will be presented during the Triennale.

  • 3SOCIAL DESIGN

    A project or social business which deals with a challenge that the region or society faces.

  • 4FREE GENRE

    The field which is not limited to art.(cooking, fashion, design, craft and technology).
    * Applicant could propose more than one project.

SELECTION OF PROJECTS

* Selected project will be financially supported (up to JPY2,000,000 at maximum)
