KAZUKO MURAO
Born in 1965 in Tokyo. Graduated from Musashino Art University Junior College of Art and Design. She encountered fresco painting, one of the mural paintings at the college. Through her creative activities she learnt plastering. She was attracted to how simple combinations of natural materials such as soil, straws, sand and limestone could produce infinite look on walls. She produces plastering work with reference to fresco painting, picture sign board made of plaster and other plastic artworks. She also runs workshop across Japan for children and grown-ups introducing how to enjoy making something using plastering materials.
